Undergirding One-Another

Undergirding Another “Bear one another’s burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Undergirding- to assist, walk through, or provide support for another as they are experiencing problems and/or struggles. Below are four ways to undergird another:

1. Willingness to be involved in the smallest acts or tasks to help another.

2. Giving of your own means, financially, property, time, verbal support, etc.

3. Attempting to meet needs even before the other asks for help.

4. Being more available than normal during the time of struggle.

Often we say that one sign of Christian maturity is a growing sense of other-centeredness. We hope that as you think about the need for undergirding that everyone has you will be led to try to meet that need in others.
